Frontline campaign

Camp Beagle is leading the charge.

Bred For Labs is a smaller evidence-led initiative created to support the wider work to end the breeding of dogs for laboratories.

Who they are

Camp Beagle is the world’s longest-running permanent grassroots animal rights protest camp. It has been physically camped outside MBR Acres in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, since the summer of 2021.

The camp works to expose and oppose the breeding of beagles for laboratory testing, and to build public pressure for MBR Acres to close.

How Bred For Labs supports the work

This site is not Camp Beagle. It is a smaller supporting project. Our role is to help people understand the official government records in simple language, without graphic images or technical fog.

When someone first learns that dogs are still bred and used in Britain for experiments, they often need a clear place to start. Bred For Labs is meant to be that place — a bridge from public concern to the frontline campaign.

We support Camp Beagle’s work and encourage visitors to learn from them directly.

Why this matters

The official records show that dogs are still used in Britain for experiments. Camp Beagle shows the public that the breeding and supply chain is not abstract — it has a place, a gate, and dogs inside.

Our message is simple: learn the evidence, share it calmly, and support the people already doing the frontline work.
